Phōs Chandelle began as a single candle on a single desk — the light by which one story was first copied out by hand. What it protects has not changed since: the sense that reading a good book should feel like being let into a room you were not sure existed.
Every volume in the House is bound the same way. The same border. The same seal. Not because the House has run out of ideas, but because the frame is a promise — that whatever changes from book to book, the care taken with it will not.
We are a small imprint, and we intend to stay one. THE BOOK is the first manuscript we have opened to the public. Others will follow, each kept exactly as carefully.
